The hike is open to the community to promote a healthy lifestyle by providing a great opportunity for families to come together for a fun outdoors event. Bring your family and walk in memory or in honor of a loved one. Spend the morning with your loved ones in a beautiful mountain scenery. One of the trails leads to the gorgeous Horsetooth Falls. The hike will accommodate both novice and experienced hikers. Dogs on leashes are allowed on the trails. If you bring your pet, please bring water and waste bags for them.

This hike is to raise YOUR health awareness and
kick start your healthy lifestyle!
The Soderberg Trail is located in Horsetooth Mountain Park and provides access to the Horsetooth Falls, Horsetooth Rock and Spring Creek trails. It begins from the park entrance at an elevation of 5,812 feet and ends at the Spring Creek Trail at about 6,070 feet. The trail is mostly easy to hike as it climbs through 6,200 feet before descending to the Spring Creek Trail. It heads east from the parking area and winds around the east side of an open ridge before making a moderate climb to the west. The trail passes the Horsetooth Falls Trail after about .3 miles and continues climbing northwest until it intersects the service road. It follows the service road for awhile before leaving it and heading toward the Horsetooth Rock Trail. From here it contours the ridge before descending to the Spring Creek Trail. This trail offers great views of the valley below and is relatively easy to hike for most of its 1.4 miles.
Previous Hikes:
On a beautiful fall morning, 70 eager hikers met at the Devil’s Backbone Trailhead to spend a few hours on the trail with the beautiful background of the Rocky Mountains. Grandparents, parents with children and dogs were among those who hiked. Special guest hikers were two pet therapy Llamas. The hike was enjoyed by everyone. It was a great way to meet new people, improve your health and enjoy nature.
